Offering a full range of accountancy, auditing, tax and business planning services we are constantly striving to improve the client experience, and this year alone have secured much new business.

Looking after a small portfolio of clients your time will be spent overseeing our trainees (about 25%) plus accounts work (60%), with about 15% of your time working with the audit team.  You'll also be the appointed Money Laundering officer.

This position will predominantly be based in Reading (with some flexibility to work from home) but there will be some London based clients in your portfolio, so occasional travel will be required.

Much of the firms new business comes via referrals from happy customers so you'll be playing a vital contribution to our strong reputation.  First class communication skills with the desire and ability to strengthen client relationships will be key.

You'll be self motivated, enthusiastic, technically excellent and be able to prioritise your workload, demonstrating a professional manner with good attention to detail.  You'll show some evidence of having supported and led a small team of individuals.

A full, clean driving licence and use of own vehicle appropriately insured is required.

To be considered for this post you should offer:

  • ICAEW or equivalent accountant (and auditor advantageous)
  • Accountancy practice experience
  • Small team management experience
  • High technical standards and be fully up to date with accounting changes
